The Journey Box

Happy Monday!! Well, I'm sitting here enjoying the sunshine and waiting for the big, ole snowstorm that's supposed to start tonight! How can it be so pretty now and then WHAM! it turns so yucky! I do NOT like snow and the older I get the less I like it... Ohio in winter... what am I thinking???!!! I finished my special gift for my sister who will most likely start her chemo tomorrow... I made the box and have Tilda sitting on a fence... her little purse is all glittered up, it reminds me of the purses my Grandma used to have... I cut the flowers on my Cricut and added buttons and stickles. Each card inside has a small, inspirational saying... my hope is that if she is feeling down or needs a bit of encouragment, that she'll pull one out and enjoy it... I told her I won't always be able to be there, but I hope that when she looks at them, she'll know my heart is with her!!! I had to leave it on her back porch (enclosed!) because my brother-in-law took her out for the day to get her mind off of tomorrow, so she'll have it when she gets home... I so hope she likes it and doesn't think it's corny...
Matthew is starting to get a cold, rosey cheeks, runny nose, sneezes, but gosh darn it, he doesn't slow down at all!! I'll probably get it from him and be sick for days!!!! Enjoy your week and be safe and warm wherever you are!!!
Hugs,
Teri

Edited to add: My sister just called and loves the box!! She cried, which I figured she would... I had packaged it in a little brown sack with a doily tied with ribbon, and she has even saved that!! LOL!! I am so glad it will bring her comfort!!!!! And this is what happens when your art table is a mess... I found the last card that I made... I KNEW there were seven... yikes!!! It's at the top of this post...
