Good Morning!! I feel like the rain is never going to stop here!! Pretty soon, we're going to need to build an ark!!! I guess I should just be thankful it's not snow!!! Oh how I dread that!!!
Hey all!!! I got back from a fabulous five days in North Carolina with my best friend and we had a blast!! It rained a couple of the days, but it didn't stop us from hitting the antique stores and flea markets... we just needed more time!!! LOL!! I so enjoyed myself and wanted to send Pat a special thank you card! I just love this little Maggie, so sweet!!! The lace is some that I found at one of the antique stores... love it!! The ledger paper behind Tilda is from an old book, I love that look, too! She is colored with my prismacolor pencils and the face and arms with the markers! The border is a Martha Stewart punch... I think it's going to be a new favorite!!! Vintage buttons... the inside is pretty plain... lots of room for a note to her! I didn't use flowers because it needs to be mailed and I thought I'd better keep it kind of flat! Hope you like it, thanks for all the sweet comments that you leave, they mean so much to me!!!
Happy Saturday!! Oh my gosh, what a weather change from last weekend!! It is gorgeous, I have all the windows open... fresh air... yay!!! My knee is giving me HUGE problems, though, so I'm moving very slowly... my lovely daughter-in-law even bought me a cane! It's got a cute pattern, so I'm using it! heehee! I leave for a five day getaway with one of my best friends, we're going to North Carolina, the Pinehurst area, just the two of us... I can't wait! It will be so great to just talk, shop and relax! We do everything on a slower pace, so I think I'll be fine! Anyway, this is a long overdue card for another friend... her birthday was in September... I can't believe I forgot it! The colors I used are sooo bright for me, I don't normally do them... but I guess it turned out okay. I had Tilda all colored up for a long time... of course, my usual prismacolor pencils. I hope the idea comes across.... the party's over and all that!! Thanks for looking, off to clean my house... slowly... and enjoy the weather!!! Hope it's beautiful where you are and thank you so much for stopping by!!!!!

What a cold, dreary weekend we've had here. It's the kind of chill that gets in your bones and just won't leave!! We had a wedding reception to go to today, Bill's cousin's son got married in Florida last week and the party for us Ohio folks was today... they sure had different weather!! Haha! I made them this card and also made the box to put it in... I followed the sketch by Jane over at the Magnolia and hAnglar sTanglar Challenge Blog... which means I'm also entering it there~along with the ABC Challenge of Anything Goes. I really loved following the sketch, I don't normally use them, but it made it so much easier to put the card together, so thank you, Jane!!! I used my prismacolor pencils, as usual, with the markers for the face and arms. The paper is Deja Views wedding collection, I got it at a shop that is going out of business, it was packaged with all the matching papers, so easy to work with!! Anyway, here's to you, Bob and Sarah! Hope you all enjoy my little creation!! And sorry for the way this is posting...I am soo blog challenged!!!!!
