A Baby Princess Layout

I just finished creating a layout using Treasure Box Designs files. It's a baby girl layout, I just loved working with the designs and really don't have a specific use for it yet. Maybe I will finally get Kaitlyn's first pictures scrapped... she IS only eight for heavens sake!!! LOL!! I hand lettered the title and used a spot in the carriage so the vital statistics could be recorded... Of course I added glitter and sequins to make it sparkle more!!!

These files can be found here: http://www.treasureboxdesigns.com/
Have a wonderful day!! I may even be back to post some more of my design team projects today!

It's Been a Lonngggg Time....

Hello! Happy May! It's been such a long time since I've even thought about my little blog! So sad how life gets in the way of what you love to do! And the sad part is, it is just plain old life, nothing very exciting!!!! But I'm really going to try to make the effort to pay attention and keep up with this little place on the web!!!!
I love, love paper piecing and one really exciting thing that has happened is that I was asked to be on the Treasure Box Design team and the Digi Box Design team!!! I absolutely ADORE Dina's designs and have had so much fun playing with them! So..... I will start today with a lot of things I created using their files! The Digi Box Designs are digi stamps, I love coloring, too, so this has been double the fun! Here are some of the Digi Box Designs I worked with:

These were all colored using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. They are just so cute! I have lots more to show, but thought I'd start here!!!! All these designs can be found at:
http://www.digiboxdesigns.com
What I love about working with digital stamps is that you can size them however large or small you'd like, this one I made really large to use as a wall hanging:

Have a great day and I'll be back to show you some of the Treasure Box Designs paper piecings!
Hugs,
Teri

A sweet treat box...

Happy New Year... even though January is almost over!!!! I've been working on a couple little things and thought I would pop them on here.... the first is a little treat box that I first found on pinterest and then found some great directions here: http://www.apathofpaper.blogspot.ca/2012/09/top-tip-tuesday-treat-box.html  It was really easy to make. I had some white chipboard that I used for the base and then actually used my Tilda papers (gasp!) to cover it. The pulls are just wooden hearts I painted and glued on. I also made a little Joy banner and strung it with twine. This one is actually going to a swap partner, I plan on making more, they can hold all kinds of little treasures!
 Hope you like it!

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas!

Oh wow... it's been forever since I've been blogging... just so much going on and not enough time to do everything I'd like. And now the holidays are upon us! We're going to my daughter's for Thanksgiving so I don't have much to do except make some pies and that's okay with me! Both of my kids love to cook, I don't know where it comes from... because I do NOT! Glad they do though!
I was at the Dollar Tree the other day and picked up this little angel:

I thought I could shabby her up a bit, so I added some lace pieces from a dress my daughter wore in a wedding many years ago, added some pearls and some rhinestones, a ribbon on the back and she is now ready for my tree! She has a silver bell underneath and I was originally going to remove it, but when she's hanging it really does look cute! And here she is all dolled up:

I also had some snowflakes and am going to pretty them up as well... I used a die cut from my Tilda paper and made a lace flower, added some flowers, beads and a bow and she's all done, too!

Thanks for visiting and I hope to be better about posting!
Hugs,
Teri

Uptown Girls... Bench Buddies

My best friend and I don't get to see each other all the time. We're only about an hour or so away but with work, family obligations, etc., we don't get together nearly enough! We'll text and call, but the time spent together is priceless!!! So when I saw this Stamping Bella stamp, I knew I had to have it and make her a thinking of you card!! It's Belinda and Bernadette... Bench Buddies. I colored them with my prismacolor pencils, added a seam binding bow with a little applique, cut some banners, added a doily, some glitter paper and called it done! Hope you like it!!

Simon Says Create! Weekend!

Oh, here I am again, so late with posting... life gets so busy sometimes and when you think back on it, it seems like you've not done anything!!
I've had some fun things that I got to do!!! Simon Says Stamp had their Simon Says Create event in Columbus at the end of May and I got to go!!!!! I never had such a great time, it was simply awesome!! Classes started at 9 on Friday morning and ended at 9, then started up again Saturday morning until about 8 that night! The best part????!!! TIM HOLTZ was one of the teachers!!!! Yep, I finally got to take classes with him and it was fantabulous!!!!!!! My seat for all the classes was right next to the demonstrators table... swoon!!!!! LOL!!! He is soooo nice and so down to earth, you felt like you knew him forever!! I was totally out of my comfort zone, but ended up loving all the techniques!!! We also had Jennifer McGuire teaching cards... she is just the cutest little thing!! LOL! Here are a few pictures of the classes with Tim.... only the canvas is actually finished! They were fast paced classes!
Here's the canvas... it isn't as yellow as it looks in this picture, my lighting was horrible!!!!
Click on the pictures for full size!

Then we worked on one of the mini folio's, these are so awesome!!! Mine has tons to do to have it finished, but it gives me a fun place to try new things out and add them to it!

The final class with tim was the Configurations mini book! I have fallen in love with these and can't wait to get a couple more!!! I still need to add some treasures here and there and to finish the tag book for the bottom! All these supplies were given to us to use and take home... it was just too cool!!

This will be the tag book that goes in the bottom section... And the binding system... just need a little time to finish it up!

Alll in all, it was a fantastic, special time!! My good friend, Deb, went with me even though she couldn't get into the sold out classes. They had demonstrators all day and a store set up so between that and our hotel room, she kept busy!!! We spent money on awesome supplies, too!! LOL!! I'm hoping they have it again next year because I will be there!!!!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Teri
