Happy Sunday evening!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! I spent Saturday cleaning out my grandkids "playroom" and today it was my art room's turn!! I finally have more than four square inches to work with at my table!! I took out my stereo system that wasn't working anymore and that freed up a lot of space!! I also took down the card table that Matthew works at, they are on vacation for a week, so he won't be here... I figure the extra room will make it easier to create more!! Next week it will be back up and he will be busily playing next to me!!
Anyway, a good friend had knee replacement surgery last week, and this card is for her! We usually go out to dinner with them at least once a week and afterwards always end up at McDonalds for an ice cream cone, so that's why the sentiment is what it is!! She has a great sense of humor, so I know she'll love it. On the right panel we are putting a gift card to McDonalds!!

The baby shower card...
This was the card I made for my nephew's wife who is expecting in July, she's just the sweetest girl, so I wanted a sweet card for her!!! I used the Cricut, Everyday Paper Dolls for the crib and just cut a triangle for the little blanket! Miss Tilda of course, with the little baby. I colored it up with prismacolors and gamsol. Someday I will be brave enough to play with the copics!! Oh and the "floor" was made with my scor-pal!
Another day, another project!
The little ones and I have had a busy morning, we went to the park, had a little McDonald's snack, (aren't the caramel frappes the best????!!!!) and then went to the library. Matthew joined the summer book club, so I guess we will be reading a lot!!! He likes it because there are prizes for everyone, a five year olds dream!!! LOL!!!
Anyway, Kaitlyn is napping and Matthew is chilling to Curious George, so I thought I'd pop another project on the blog. This is one of the matchbox treasure boxes! It's also another Gibbs word of the day, Magic in a box. I filled the drawers with all kinds of little goodies for my partner!! I think I'm going to make one using the larger matchboxes, too! Hope you like it!!

Wow... I've been on a lot today, it's just that the little ones aren't here today, so I had some time to play with the blog! Plus, I've been dying to get some of the projects on! Most of them will be Gibbs projects since that's what I've spent the most time on lately! One of the words was a word or shape book. I couldn't find the right size house book, so I made my own pattern and cut them out of chipboard. I just think this is so pretty! And I personalized it for my partner, her house number is above the front door and their wedding year is over the back window. Then of course, she will add her own photos. The doorknob and the hinges on the front door are parts of a favorite bracelet that broke!!!! So now I have a nice, little assortment of pretty beads to use on cards and such! The hinges are buttons with parts of the bracelet in the center!
Another Gibbs project, this was Alter a tin. We have 25 words and most of them should be handmade, which I love doing! Of course, Tilda is here, paper flowers, ribbon and lace, all the things I love, so I'm hoping Tammy will love them, too!!! The tin holds a lot of Tilda images that I stamped for her to color, she can use it for anything, little treasures, etc. Love making the tins!!!!
Still trying to figure out the blogging world!
I am trying so hard to figure out all this blogging stuff!! I think I have finally figured out how to post my pictures from photobucket, so I'm going to give it a try!!
Things have been very busy around here... there's a new baby on the way, my nephew and his wife are expecting on July 31, the same day my niece is getting married! That should make for an interesting wedding!! LOL!! We have already had the showers, the bridal shower was yesterday, so now all that's left is the celebrating!!!
I haven't been feeling up to par lately and so I'm glad that today is a good day!! I still have to get to the post office to mail off my package to my partner in the Gibbs swap over at the Cricut message board.. I promise, Tammy, it is coming!! Why is it so hard to do the things that need to be done????
Anyway, speaking of Gibbs, here are a few of the projects I've made for my very patient partner... and she better not be peeking!!!!!
The first is a magnet board I covered with paper from K&Co. I had the flowers from an old candle ring... which is why I don't throw anything away!!! LOL!! The magnets are my sweet, little Tildas from Magnolia!! Always have to have them around!! Added some pearls, some lace and called it done!! I think this was for Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder...
