Lots of Pictures!

This is for the words "What was I Thinking?" After I started it and realized I was making twelve, I DID say "What was I thinking???"!! LOL!! It's a picture "calendar", Jen can add pictures for each month and change them out year after year!! I love the Maggies with it!! Another project I will be repeating for myself!!!! A big thank you to Tammy for the idea! She made me a calendar that you put each page on easel and that's where I got my idea!

A Few Peeks at my Partner's Box!!

Here are a few things I've made for my partner in the Gibbs swap over on the Cricut MB. She had better not be peeking!!!!! LOL!!! The first is the folder in the post below, that's one of the things for her, then I made this shadowbox. You can hang it or just stand it on its own. It's for the words, not all it's cracked up to be. I guess the "sections" can be the cracked up part!! I worked in the initials of all of her family, her wedding year and the family name. I am so making one of these for myself... someday.... LOL!!!

Finally, a Maggie to post!!!

Gosh, I feel like I haven't colored a Maggie in forever... and I haven't! Well, not really, I've been coloring, but not doing any projects with them! So I am in a swap on the Cricut message board and this is one of my projects!! It's a folder to hold stamped images, I cut off Tilda's balloons and added a little flower. It's one of my first attempts with my prismacolor markers, I'm usually a pencil girl, but Friday night I crafted with my good friend, Deb, until 1:30 a.m.~ and she helped me with the markers again! So I do like her alot, but now I need to get more softer colors!! I used some old lace and buttons from my stash and Martha Stewart ribbon that I had never opened and oh my goodness, it's so beautiful!! Hope you like it!!

I've been neglecting my blog!

Gosh, it's been a long time since I've been on my blog! So many things happen in every day "real" life! My husband is involved in the National Wild Turkey Federation, which of course, means so am I!! We had our annual banquet on the 12th of August, what a lot of work!! I had to add my touch and stamped some turkey tracks and turkeys on some of the tags for the buffet, and also made some tile coasters and cards for the women's table! It all turned out great and I'm glad it's over for another year!! I don't hunt at all, but I'm glad he does... I have my quiet, crafting time while Bill is away!!
On a very sad note, I lost my Dad on August 19. He had a sudden, massive stroke. I still cannot believe it and sometimes I think I've had a really bad nightmare, but it is true. He was such an awesome man, I loved him with all my heart! My Mom is dealing very well, but I know it's just because she has so much busy work to do right now. They had been married 58 years three days before he died. My family is very close, so we are helping each other through this....
Anyway, life does go on and I need to finish so many things!! My poor partner in Gibbs 3 on the Cricut message board, she is still waiting on her box of goodies... hang in there, Jen, I'm still working away!! My niece will be getting married in October and I have her little scrapbook to make, it's of her and her future hubby growing up, and ends with an engagement!! They are darling keepsakes for each of them!
I wish I had something wonderful to show you, but my crafting time has been few and far between... soon, I hope! I have picked up some basic crochet instructions to try to make some flowers, I'm not very good at it though!! heehee!
Enjoy the week!!!

Just a crazy life...

It's been awhile since I've had a chance to add to my blog! It isn't even like I've been doing a lot of fun stuff, just busy with every day living!! We went to our camper this past weekend, just Bill and me, it was very quiet, but oh, so hot!! We actually went to a corn fest and I had sweet corn ice cream! So adventurous!! It tasted like vanilla ice cream with crunchy things in it~ not too bad, would I order it again? Probably not!!! LOL!! But hey, I had to try it!! Sunday we went to my most favorite restaurant for my birthday, Carabbas!! Yummy!! The little ones were so good, it helps when they get a handful of bread dough to play with!
This card is for my friend, Jen's, challenge. www.youngsscrapping.blogspot.com/ She has posted a sketch and this is my take on it. This is my first time using my prismacolor markers and I have a lonnggg way to go!! I guess I will just have to keep on practicing! The colors are not my usual, so bright, but I think it looks happy too!! I just love this little CC Designs party girl!! Thanks, Deb, for letting me use your stamps, you're the best!!!!!
Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Land of Magnolia Contest entry

This was my entry in the Land of Magnolia contest a while back, I won 4th place, and received the Sweden Raising the Ceiling collection and two Tildas of my choice!! Very fun!!! All the winners are being showcased on the Magnolia blog: www.magnolia-licious.blogspot.com . The only sad part was that I had to send the book to Diana, I'll have to make me one soon!! I also had to hand write my story, since my computer decided to die, but I think that actually helped me out a little!! LOL!! All the images were colored with prismacolors and gamsol and I used the scor-pal for the edges of each page. I found the book on my grandson's bookcase, an old board book that had seen better days, so I tore off the shiny pages and glued the cardstock ones on!! Hope you like it!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! It always goes by way too fast!! We went to a great picnic on Saturday at our friends house and Matthew got to kayak!! He's never even seen one before, let alone be in one!! He took to it like a duck to water!! It was so neat to see him paddling all over the pond, he even got in a sticky situation and was able to manuever his way out!! Now he wants one... I keep telling him our tiny pond in the backyard won't even be big enough for the kayak to go in, but he thinks we should just make it bigger!!!
We went down to the camper on Sunday and I took my Tildas to color, of course!! I have about 30 done and now I need to get busy and create with them!!!
Enjoy your Tuesday!!!
