Little Village

Good Morning!! Oh my gosh, we have gone from cold, rainy days to hot, hot, hot!!! I have always said I wanted warm weather, but I do NOT want hot!! Give me a nice 70-75 degrees and a slight breeze... sigh... wishful thinking!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and gave thanks to our magnificant troops and veterans! I have three nephews in the military and my Dad was in WW2, so I have great respect for our brave men and women!!! We went to our camper this weekend and while it was a fun time, the flies were horrible and loved biting me, Kaitlyn and Matthew!! Now we are all itchy and red... yuck.

I wanted to show you some little houses I've been working on! I got the idea from Beatriz Jennings blog http://www.iralamija.blogspot.com She makes the sweetest little ones, hers are about 1/2" - 3" I think, mine are from 3"-5"... Bill cut them for me from scraps we had around, I love the randomness of them... so cute!! I made a set for my sister and my friend for their birthdays, the initials are last names and the numbers are for their house number!! They are a blast to make and I'm planning on a bunch for a craft show this fall that my friend is having!!! I have a lot of ideas... Christmas, Fall... and I do have two I made for me that are shabby chic... just haven't gotten to take a pic yet... when I do, I'll show you those... too sweet!! Well, Matthew has field day today so I need to get over to the school, hopefully the heat will hold off a little for the morning!!! Have a wonderful day!!!!

Hugs,

Teri

Wedding Beauty!

Good Afternoon, friends!! The sun is actually starting to peep out of the rainy clouds, it almost gives you hope that it will be nice today!
I have a new wedding card to share today! I am pretty sure it will go to my niece who will be married in July! The bride is a CC Designs stamp, but when I colored her, I mistook her veil as her hair!! Yikes! So I cut her hair and added a sweet, little tulle veil that I added tiny dots of stickles to! I'm not sure it shows up so great in the pictures, though! The embossed panels are Sizzix for the large panel and Cuttlebug for the hearts on the scalloped oval. I cut her bouquet out and colored it a second time, popped it up and added a pink silk ribbon. The flowers are Prima, all stickled up, and the border is punched with a Fiskars punch. I added stickles around the edges of it as well as around the scalloped oval. The pink mats inside and out are also stickled!! Lots of sparkly!! I used a cake charm from Martha Stewart on the inside panel and an old D.O.T.S. stamp for the inside sentiment! The congratulations on the front is an A Muse stamp. I colored with my prismacolor pencils and prismacolor markers for her face and arms.
I'd like to enter this in the following two challenges:

Thanks so much for visiting and letting me know what you think!!! Have a great weekend coming up!!!

Teri

I won with my Easter Egg box!

Good morning!! I found out last night that I won 1st place at the Magnolia-licious Extravaganza contest with my egg!!! I am shocked, the entries had some AWESOME creations!! Thank you so much to everyone who voted, it means so much to me! Kind of validates your work if you know what I mean! If you haven't seen it, scroll down a couple posts and it's there!! It's one of those things that I'm really proud of... even if I hadn't won, I'd still love it!
I spent Saturday and Sunday pretty much cleaning my house, including the art room! I have come to the realization that I can not go shopping for a LOOOONNGGG time and still have tons of paper and ribbon and buttons and everything else!!! I am going to try really hard to start using what is here before purchasing any more stuff.....HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!! I'll let ya know how that works out!!! But now that things are cleaned up, I'm going to get busy and really start creating more.... so hopefully there will be more postings with pretty ideas!! LOL!
Have a wonderful day and thank you again!!
Hugs!!!!!
