Sweet Christmas trees...

I just love making these darling little Christmas trees, wrapped with soft, fluffy yarn and pretty jewels and pearls added! Finding the perfect shiny button for the top, I think they'll look so cute under a glass dome with some vintage looking trees and some snow!!!
Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Too cute to spook!!

Wow! It's been a long time since I've last posted!! I have a great excuse though, my daughter got married on September 14, so I was very busy with planning and creating!! It was a gorgeous day, the weather could not have been hand created any better, they were married outdoors, so the chances of not so great weather was real!! I will post pictures of the things I created soon! We had such a good time and Jenn and Bryan are so happy together!!! I am thrilled!
I came across some ADORABLE digi stamps last week!!! They are All Dressed Up and soooo ca-ute!!! I know they're going to become a favorite of mine!!! This one is Abi Ballerina and she's free for October on their website! Isn't she just darling??? I'm joining in on their challenge this time, which is to create a Halloween project. I know a ballerina isn't normally on a Halloween card, but I couldn't resist using her!! She's so versatile!! I colored her with my prismacolor markers for the skin and my prismacolor pencils for the rest! Added fine glitter here and there, I'm not sure how it will show up in the pictures, but her tutu is very sparkly in real life!! I made a crepe paper side ruffle and added layers of rick-rak and buttons. The paper is some stuff I had in my paper drawer, I think it was actually from the Target one spot a few years ago!!! Hope you like it!!!!

Teri

Fight Like a Girl!!!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog... I do have a good reason, though, I've been busy planning my daughter's wedding!! And it's this Saturday!! I am so excited for her, she is marrying a wonderful man, we love him!!! I made her invitations, banners, programs, etc. Lots of hard work, but oh, so worth it!!! Pictures coming after the big day!
This is a Thinking of You card for a special friend going through breast cancer. I hate making these cards...  I wish there were a way to have cancer gone for good! But her attitude is wonderful and I know she'll come through with flying colors!!!! I used the Boxing Tilda, glittered up her gloves and shoes and colored her with my prismacolor pencils! The paper is from Michaels, I got it a couple years ago on clearance for like a dollar!!!
Have a wonderful day... and I'll be back with some pictures of the things I made for the wedding!
Hugs,
Teri

A little place of my own!!

I was thinking the other day that I never showed my art room finished!!! Somewhere in the past posts are photos of it in progress, but I finally have some better ones!!! So here we go.....This first one is what used to be a closet... now it's my computer spot! I made the inspiration board from an old frame and covered a lamp shade to match! The blue chest is for my scraps... I want to get a white one some time... Grab a cup of something, there are a LOT of pictures! I love spending time in here, it's my dream spot!!!! You can click on the pictures to make them larger!
This is the built in bookshelf, it has lots of space for displaying treasures, too. The photo below it is the cabinet with pull out drawers, I keep my punches and sewing machine in them.

The next two pictures are of my Cricut "station", again, lots of storage in the cabinets above and below is where I store my 8 1/2 x 11 paper and my ribbons in plastic boxes. The drawers hold my cutting plates for the Cuttlebug and tools for the Cricut. I love the shelf for the cartridges, it was made from leftover counter top!

The next few pictures are the wall opposite the bookshelf and cutting station! There are two "desk" areas, the first photo is where my granddaughter has made her own little spot!! The drawer thingie is filled with all her stuff! My sister made the paper wreath that is hanging up for my birthday, I love it!!

My buttons in mason jars! More cupboards above!

This is where I work! I got the "create" banner in a swap, it works perfectly there!
This shows the drawers on the side, the bottom one holds 12 x 12 paper!
There are three drawers between the work stations that hold glues, trims, chalks, etc.

These are some of my stamps that are behind the door, mostly my Penny Black ones that I love!

And a pretty wreath on the door!

Thanks for taking my "tour", hope you enjoyed it and maybe got some ideas, too!!
Hugs,
Teri

Maggie ATC's

Good Morning!!! I was part of a private ATC swap this month and was pretty nervous about it! I've really not done these before and wasn't sure how much or little to do for each one. But they were FUN!! We used our Maggie stamps and while most of mine were done with regular sizes, I did do a mini and would probably use them again for this kind of project! Our theme was "spring/summer", I didn't do much as far as "wording" so that my partner could use them for whatever she wanted to. I made her a card as well and added an ATC to that... hope you like them!

This is the card, just a simple one, but I hope she enjoys it!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Ours will be a busy one with errands to run and grandkids to watch!!

Teri

I colored her up with my prismacolor pencils and  added a little banner, buttons, lace and ric-rack! Hope you like it!!!!

I'm going to enter it in:

Happy Easter!

We had a rainy start to our day.... the egg hunt still went on as planned, it just went really fast!! It's a good thing there are just the two little ones,  so the Easter bunny didn't have to hide very many!!!! Since we were at the Inn, the baskets were in the barn and the kids loved everything they got! We even "planted" jelly beans the night before... magic ones... and in the morning there were rainbow lollipops!! I'm pretty sure Matthew wasn't fooled, and maybe not even Kaitlyn, but they at least acted excited!!! I wish I had known about this even when my kids were small, it would've been such a neat tradition to start!!! I also wish we had taken pictures!!!! LOL!!!!
I've made a few Easter things this year, even though we weren't going to be home, I'll save them for next year! The first are dimensional Easter Eggs that I saw on Pinterest!!! They are made like the pumpkins everyone has been doing... I cut four ovals for these, but I may make more and try five or six just to make them more rounded! I'm also going to make some smaller ones that won't be all decorated so they can be fill-ins! My favorite is the pink glittered polka dots!!!

I also made some little baskets! They are a cinch to make from a 6 x 6 piece of paper! This was my favorite... of course it has Maggie on it!! LOL!!! Some I just did very simply with little doilies and flowers! We've (Kaitlyn and I) have been handing them out to neighbors and friends! She just loves them!!!!

And last, but certainly not least, is Kaitlyn's birthday card I made! She is a St.Patrick's Day baby... this is a Saturated Canary image.... I was so bummed after I took the picture and was ready to give it to her... the blue blob of paint is NOT supposed to be there!!!! I think a little girl had some wet projects and they sort of collided! After almost having heart failure, I decided to just add a little green heart over it! And the other blue spot was conviently over the pocket, so it sort of looks like a hanky!!! LOL!!! She loves it and that's all that counts!!!!

So that's it for me for today, I have a CC Design card I'm almost done with... it's for my great niece for her first birthday!!
Take care,
Hugs,
Teri

Getting Ready for Easter!

I'm on a FB group that the girls have been working on Easter projects! I've been so inspired by them, that I started making some cute things, too! This is an altered Kleenex box, I got it at Hobby Lobby, one of the chipboard ones. I covered it with a cool watercolor looking egg paper, then decorated the top, and used a Saturated Canary image, Murray, for the front. My coloring is usually lighter pastels, but for some reason, she was screaming for brights!! I like how it turned out!!! As usual, I've used my prismacolor pencils to color.
Here's the top, not the best picture:
And a close up of the image and the ribbon down the back:

Now I need to buy a box of Kleenex to fit... and hope I don't get a cold and have to use it!!
Have a great week...

Teri

Easter Dress....

This is a card that I've made using one of the Saturated Canary digi stamps, Easter Dress. Krista Smith just does amazing artwork, I love using it! On this one, I tried to make her dress look like "dotted swiss", you know, so many of our dresses used to be made out of this fantastic fabric! So spring and summery feeling!! And that's how I am more than ready to feel right about now!!! Winter had better beat it soon, today was fabulous, we were actually in the 60's!!! And sunshine... sigh... loved it!!!!
Anyway, the image is colored in my prismacolor pencils, I added teeny, tiny little rhinestones to her shoe covers, the little butterfly was punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I love the embroidered applique on the bow! My friend found me a bundle of these, I was so excited!! The pink dotted paper is Making Memories and the stripe is Pink Paislee. This will probably go to my Mom for Easter...
Hope you like it!!! Have a wonderful upcoming week!!
Hugs,
Teri

Dream...

Hi everyone! We just got back from five days in Nashville and I have to say, we had a blast! I love downtown!!! And everyone was sooo nice! We ate in some really great places and hit some bars... it could have been a tad warmer, but it was better than here in Ohio!!!
My project for today is one that I made for my partner on the Cricut MB. Our challenge this month was to alter/make a door hanger. I cut mine from the Cricut and embellished with papers from my scrap drawers! The "dream" was stamped and then torn around the words and edged with glitter. I colored Sweet Tilda with my prismacolor pencils and added teeny-tiny rhinestones to her shoes. Used flowers from my stash, blue seam binding, buttons and the scrolls were cut from a Sizzix die. This was a fun project and again, maybe, someday, I'll make one for myself!!! Right.......

Hope you like it, I'm trying to figure out how to get my pictures bigger in my posts! Darn blogger changed my whole blog, I can't even figure out where my followers went!! Grrrrr....
Enjoy your week!!!
Hugs,
Teri

Neveah... from Saturated Canary

Oh I love Krista's designs from Saturated Canary and they have really been super popular lately!!! I made this one for another swap on the Cricut Message Board... this little lady is Neveah and I love everything about her, her eyes, her hair, that gorgeous swirly dress!!! I colored her with prismacolor pencils and she has lots of glitter on her skirt!!! The card is one that I CASED from one that I was lucky enough to receive in another swap, I loved the design, just had to make it a little larger! Hope you like her!

Today I'm trying to organize my ribbon... what a job!!!! I'm actually getting rid of some, the old, old stuff that I've had for years and are really ugly... but I've found some beautiful ones, too! Some day I will find the perfect system! Have a wonderful day and try to stay warm~~~~
Hugs,
Teri
