A new Fall Wreath and a cute kid!!

Happy October!! (almost) My nieces have all been going crazy making fabulous wreaths for Fall, Halloween, etc. and so I decided to make one for my door! This is a really, really quick project: get a 6 year old to rip fabric strips, wrap around a styrofoam wreath, pin in place, cut out some flowers and leaves, stitch a little, add some buttons and raffia bows and call it a day!! Not as fancy as some of theirs, but I'll hang it on my door and feel very accomplished!! Haha!! I also had to show you this picture of my little Kaitlyn in her fashionista outfit!! I just thought she looked extra cute that day!! That's it for tonight, I have a wedding card to photograph and will post it tomorrow! Have a great Saturday!

Happy Birthday, Friend!

Happy Thursday!! It is a gorgeous Fall day, the temperature is perfect for working outside... too bad my knee hurts like it does, I guess I'll just have to stay in and stamp a while!! Haha!! I have a birthday card to share today and I'm entering it in the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! The colors are teal, brown and orange... I have to admit, at first I was like, ewww... but then when I started playing with the colors... I really like them together!!! My paper is from DCWV, Nana's Kitchen... love that stack~~ I colored little Miss Maggie with prismacolors and gamsol, her skin is done with the prismacolor markers. The tag is from Melissa Frances, part of a package I got from Diana's store~they are soooo cute!!! Added a little butterfly charm, some flowers and a crochet thread bow! The inside is pretty simple and I did make an envelope to match! I've always loved having the card and envie go together, but it seems like I don't do it all the time!! I hope wherever you are, that the weather is beautiful and your day is special!!! Till next time~

My Maggie Heart Box!

Hello, my friends!! I have a special, little project to show you today! This will also go to my friend, who is getting the card in the post below. I'm thinking of filling it with some pretty glass pebbles and tucking a votive candle inside! Just a little relaxation giftie!! I found the chipboard heart box for .50... such a bargain!! Covered it with some gorgeous double sided paper from Hobby Lobby... I believe it is from the Girls Paperie. The top is outlined with blue twine, I used some crochet type lace, paper flowers, a pearl flower button for the flowers. The chipboard frame is again, painted white and glittered, with a scrap from the floral side of the paper underneath it! Then, this sweet little Maggie is popped on top! She is Tilda with Small Gift... I love her!!! I punched a scalloped border and added tiny pearls for the lip of the box. Then, painted some wooden balls ivory and dotted them with pink paint for the feet of the box! So what do you think???Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Teri

Grateful for you!

One of our very good friends will be going through a rough six weeks or so and I want to make her days special, so I have this card ready to send! It's a Penny Black image colored with prismacolor pencils and markers. The chipboard accents were painted white and coated with glitter. I added a few little paper roses and silk ribbon. Lots of glitter on her shoes and flowers! The inside has a sweet quote that I love, also from Penny Black! Have a super day!

Celebrate!

Happy September 1st!! This summer has just flown by, but I must admit, I'm ready for some Fall-ish weather! I cleaned out my closet and drawers yesterday and have lots of cute things for cooler weather... I cetainly don't want cold and snow, though!!! I made this Celebrate card for my awesome friend, Deb!!! Her birthday was in August, but I felt like the "patriotic" theme was fitting for the image! I hand wrote "celebrate", made a little pinwheel and look at her little birthday candle! The flame is just some fishing lure stuff that I had tucked away, it reminded me of a candle! I colored Tilda with prismacolor pencils and gamsol, except for her face and skin, that's with the prismacolor markers. The inside is pretty plain with just a journaling spot for a special message! I glued some punched stars on the doily and stickled them up for a bit more bling! Back soon with another card, this time a Penny Black image!

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Teri
