Tilda's Been Framed!!

Wow, once again it's been a long time between posts, it's just been a really busy summer so far, so even though I am still creating projects, it's just so hard to find the time to sit and post!!!! But.. here is one of my latest projects for the Cricut Message Board swap... we were to create a shadowbox frame from a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock, what fun!! My partner should get hers today, so I think I'm okay posting what I made. She loves to quilt as well as scrapbooking, so I decided to incorporate that into the box! I used the wedding couple to signify her and her husband and the M is for their last name. I wrapped scraps of fabric for the "bolts" and wrapped twine around the spools. Vintage buttons and some lace finished it up! I hope she likes it! Tilda and Edwin are colored with prismacolor markers and pencils! Hope you like it!!

An Altered Cigar Box

Has it really been almost two months since I last posted anything???!! What a bad blogger I am! There's really no excuse except that life gets in the way sometimes. We've been busy with the grandkids T-ball and Coach Pitch ball games, what fun that is to watch!!! And just life in general... anyway, I thought I would show the cigar box I altered for a Cricut Message Board Swap! My partner, Dalia, wanted a Paris theme and pink and black. I found this paper that was perfect!!! When I went to cover the box, the lid tore off, so I decided to make it a lift off top!! I used the left over knob I had from my art room cupboards!! I can't remember the name of the Maggie I used, maybe, Birdcage Tilda??? I colored her with my prismacolor markers and pencils as usual! On the inside I used a cut out from the paper for the "clock" face. Spools wrapped in paper are used for the feet! It really was a fun project and I hope Dalia liked it!!!!

The Art Room continued!

Here are my "in progress" pictures, followed by pretty much done pictures! And after looking at them, I need to take some better photos! Maybe I'll do that tomorrow! These don't even show the final paint done... You can see where we had lots of patching to do!! It used to be my son's bedroom and let me tell you.... he had a dart board up and I think I covered a million holes!!!! But I am so happy with it all, everything has a spot!!! It was worth the 12 year wait!!!!!

The New Art Room!!!

Happy Sunday!! I'm just getting around to finally posting the pictures of my wonderful new art room!!!!! This first post will be the befores! And the way they are posted... well, the first three are after I emptied the room into the living room, office and the kitchen!! Yikes!! There was sooo much stuff!!! I really, really purged and it felt wonderful!!! Lots went to the elementary school art teacher, lots went to the Goodwill and lots went to the trash!!! I was ruthless!! But it was so worth it in the end!!! The other pictures are from various times... but always a great big mess! Keep in mind that this is a little 9 x 9 bedroom... I had really packed it in!!!

Steampunk Tilda?

Wow... two posts in one day!! I am on a roll!! Haha!! This is one for a swap that I'm in... my partner likes the steampunk style and I just don't know if this covers it or not... Totally different from what I normally do, but I do like it!!!! So what do we think, will it pass for steampunk? I mean, it's going to anyway, because it's done, but is this going in the right direction? I don't understand steampunk...

And I don't understand blogging either... how in the heck did my pictures get all over the place?? sigh...

Thinking of you!!

Happy Monday after Easter! I hope everyone had a nice holiday... ours was quiet, we went to my Mom's for breakfast/brunch, it was so nice to see so many little ones, all our kids are having kids, so it's such a flashback!! They look so darn cute, just love them all!!! Then my son and daughter-in-law came for dinner in the late afternoon, we had an egg hunt for the kids, man, they can move fast!!!! Matthew found the most, but Kaitlyn only really cared about the candy~~~she is such a candy-aholic!!! It was nice...
My card today... well, is supposed to be a thinking of you, but I forgot to put the sentiment on before taking the pictures!!! Yikes!!! Where is my brain?? The image is a Saturated Canary digi, I love these so much!! I added a small envelope behind the main image to hold a tag... daisies are from Hobby Lobby, had in my stash! Little silver corners, a pretty butterfly and some ribbon.... done! She is colored with prismacolor markers and pencils. The image will go on the left side in a circle... pretend it's already there, okay?? heehee....

She's a Posh type of Bella!!

Happy April! Gosh, this year is already flying by! April! We've had so much rain though, wish it would dry up a bit!!! But today does look nice, so I think a while outside will be in the cards!

I'm just posting real quick to show a Stamping Bella that I made! My first one! Aren't these Uptown Girls the cutest??? This one is a birthday card for a friend of mine! She's colored with prismacolor markers and pencils... added glitter and glazed her shoes. The flower is from Recollections and I put some tulle and twine behind it! Tiny pearls across the top and called it a day! I followed the sketch at the stamping Bella blog and will enter it there!
